Step 1 - Download Teamviewer remote support app
Click on this link to download our desktop app (14MB). Cick RUN when prompted by your browser. (It does not install an application, but will create an 'SOS' shortcut for future use on your desktop.)
Step 2 - let us connect and control
When our engineer connects you will see a pop-up dialog that asks you to allow access. Click ALLOW. Within a few seconds we will be connected.
Q. How secure is this?
A. Very! All connections are encrypted. Encryption is based on 1024bit RSA private/public key exchange and 256 Bit AES session encoding. This uses the same security level as https/SSL and is considered completely safe by today's standards. The key exchange also guarantees that the data channel is completely encoded from client to client and that any routers or servers in between (including our routers) are unable to read or analyze the data stream.
Q. Will it work behind a firewall?
A. Yes! It will allow you to share your desktop over any kind of internet-/LAN-connection and over almost any firewall.
Q. Will you have unrestricted access to my computer at any time after I install this?
A. No! Each time you want us to connect you have to a) run the app, and b) provide us with the ID and password details, which are unique to each connection. You have complete control.
Q. Can I disconnect you during a session if I need to?
A. Yes, although we are controlling the keyboard and mouse you can override this at any time and could simply close the app if you needed to.
